NTR Bharosa Pensions to Be Distributed a Day Early in Andhra Pradesh
In a move to ensure smooth pension distribution ahead of the New Year, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to distribute December pensions a day earlier. Pensions will be handed out on December 31, instead of the usual date of January 1. The Ward and Secretariat Department has made necessary arrangements to transfer pension funds to the village and ward secretariat staff by this evening.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will oversee the pension distribution in Yallamanda village, Narasaraopet constituency, Palnadu district, on December 31. He is scheduled to depart from his Undavalli residence at 10:30 AM and reach Yallamanda by 10:50 AM. Pensions will be distributed to beneficiaries between 11:00 and 11:30 AM, after which he will interact with them from 11:35 AM to 12:35 PM. At 12:40 PM, he will meet with local officials and public representatives, and later visit Kotappakonda Trikoteswara Swamy at 1:45 PM. The Chief Minister is expected to return to Undavalli by 2:55 PM.
In response to requests from village and ward secretariat staff, who expressed concerns about distributing pensions on January 1, the state government has agreed to adjust the schedule. The government has now instructed the village and ward secretariats to make necessary arrangements to distribute pensions on December 31, in line with the staff's request.
The state government will also deposit Rs. 2,717.31 crore for pension distribution, which will benefit approximately 63.75 lakh people across the state. Since July, pension distribution in Andhra Pradesh has been handled by the village and ward secretariat staff, who will continue their door-to-door efforts on December 31 to ensure timely distribution of the NTR Bharosa pensions.
